Jessi was a staff writer for the Top O’ the World student newspaper at Western State College of Colorado from 2006 through 2008, when she became the Editor in Chief of the publication until her graduation in May of 2009.
In the spring of 2007 she wrote a correspondence column while volunteering at a home for destitute children in Rishikesh, India.
Jessi graduated from Wester State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with an emphisis in creative writing and a minor in Political Science. She plans to persue a career in freelance journalism basing her subject matter on travel, international relations and environmetal issues.
